Frequently Asked Questions

  • The duration varies based on the scope and complexity of the project. For instance, organizing a single room might take 3-5 hours, while a whole-home organization could span several sessions. During our initial consultation, we'll assess your needs and provide an estimated timeline tailored to your project. Visit our blog post that has time estimates!

  • Your involvement is entirely up to you. Some clients prefer to be hands-on throughout the process, while others opt to delegate the tasks to us entirely. We'll discuss your preferences during our consultation to ensure the process aligns with your comfort level. Please note that if your goal is to do significant decluttering, we ask that you stop by at least twice during the day to make decisions so that our team can understand what all needs to fit back into the space.

  • Not necessarily. We strive to utilize existing storage solutions whenever possible. If additional products would improve the organization of your space, we can recommend items that fit your style and budget. Any purchases will be discussed and approved by you beforehand. Our team can purchase items same-day and add any that are used to your bill at the end of the day. If you choose to purchase shelving or other solutions in advance that require construction, please note that our team is able to build them, but that time is considered billable.

  • We take your privacy seriously and treat every project with complete confidentiality. Our mission is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel safe and respected throughout the process. We understand how personal it can be to invite someone into your home—especially into spaces that even close friends or family may never see. You can trust that we’ll approach every session with care, discretion, and compassion.

  • Strategic Spaces proudly serves the Denver metropolitan area and surrounding communities. View our service map here. If you’re outside of this area, please feel free to contact us to discuss potential arrangements.

  • Begin by scheduling a complimentary consultation through our website or by giving us a call. During this session, we'll discuss your needs, goals, and how Strategic Spaces can assist in transforming your home into a more organized and functional space.

  • Absolutely not. Decluttering is a collaborative process. We’ll ask questions to guide your decisions, but you’re always in control of what stays and goes.

  • We’ll help sort items into donation, recycling, and trash—and connect with Denver-area organizations that accept your specific items. Our team can haul away one carload per organizer, per day of donatable items. We are unable to haul away trash, recycling, or hazardous waste, but can help coordinate trash services for larger projects.

  • Not at all. Many of our clients are busy professionals, parents, individuals living with chronic illnesses or disabilities, or caregivers who just need a little structure. We’re not here to judge—we’re here to help you reset and create systems that support your life.

  • Yes! We specialize in transitional moments—times when “stuff” feels overwhelming. Whether you’re downsizing, nesting, or starting fresh, we can help you organize with clarity and compassion.

  • In order to establish a space that works for you and your household, we’ll ask a few questions around your lifestyle, who interacts with the space and how, mobility issues, aesthetic preferences, and more. That helps inform our decisions around organizing. Once we’re in the space, we’ll review the space, take everything out, group it by category, discuss paring down (duplicates, expired, broken), contain like items, and label by category to ensure everyone is able to find what they need. For more information, visit our Project Day page.

  • To book our services, the first step is to fill out our contact form to schedule a quick consultation call. During the call, we’ll discuss your needs, timeline, and budget, and make sure we’re a good fit for the project. We’ll share a quote for our services, send over a written estimate and contract, you’ll sign and pay your refundable deposit, and then we’ll get the project day(s) scheduled!

  • Not much! We want to see your space as you live in it, so please don’t worry about trying to pretty things up in advance. Our only asks are that if we’re working in your closet or bedroom, your clothes are clean, and if we’re working in your kitchen, the sink isn’t full of dishes. We want to make sure we have a full grasp of everything that needs to fit in the space, and it’s hard to do that when a portion of items are out of service!

If you want to purchase your own storage solutions for us to integrate, we’re happy to incorporate them. Please note that if you purchase anything that requires building (shoe racks, dressers, cubbies), we’re happy to build them, but it is billable time.

  • Great question! We have a full page of our policies listed here. We want to make sure that we’re all on the same page before work gets started, to ensure the health and safety of all parties.

  • Yes and no. Our team’s experience and skills are in professional organizing and decluttering, not in deep cleaning. Our team will of course wipe down surfaces that we’re cleaning or vacuum the area to leave a tidy end result, but isn’t set up for scrubbing toilets or showers or cleaning dishes. We recommend hiring a separate cleaning business if you’re looking for an overall house cleaning.

  • Strategic Spaces is a great choice for individuals that want a refreshed space, but don’t have the time or energy to create it themselves. We take care of the heavy lifting and dirty work to make sure that you have the mental bandwidth to make the “keep or go” decisions. We work with you and your household in mind, to make sure that we leave you with a space that works for you and your lifestyle needs. Our team is passionate about mindful elimination, and getting donated items to places that will truly benefit from them.

We know that every space is different, and bring a puzzle-solving passion to each and every client.

  • For cost estimates, please visit our pricing page, and blog about calculating project hours.
