JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for passionate, hard working individuals to join the Strategic Spaces team! Professional Organizers with Strategic Spaces provide on-site support to clients including, but not limited to, organizing, decluttering, driving to donation partners, picking up and purchasing packing materials and storage supplies. We offer both part time and full time roles. Please note that our “full time” roles may work an average of 24-32 hours per week, depending on job availability.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Reliable transportation that can haul away a reasonable volume of donations

  • Ability to work 5-10 hour days, depending on the client needs

  • Valid Colorado driver’s license

  • Ability to bend, lift 50 lbs, and work in a physically demanding environment

EXPECTATIONS

  • Show up 10 minutes early to each shift (it’s paid time!)

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude and appearance

  • Bring empathy to the clients (without taking on their emotions)

  • Wiling to drive up to an hour for jobs

  • A keen eye for detail - like spotting this line

COMPENSATION

Pay: $25-$40/hour, plus tips

HIRING PROCESS

  1. Read through this page (thoroughly!)

  2. Submit your information in the below form and attach a resume and cover letter.

  3. Have a call with the owner, Amy, to chat about your experience and understanding of the role, and to answer any questions you may have.

  4. Get invited for an audition day (paid), where you’ll work on a job with 1-2 other organizers who will evaluate your ability to perform the job and receive feedback. If all is well, we’ll invite you back for training!

  5. Complete four training shifts (paid), where the team will continue sharing tips and tricks and best practices. We’ll check in with the team you’ve worked with to make sure it’s a good fit after you complete your training.

  6. Have a check-in call with Amy, and if all goes well, you’ll be invited to join the team and start getting scheduled for shifts! Please note that your first three months will be as a 1099 contractor, and after the 90 day mark, you will be eligible to move forwards as a W2 employee. You will not be scheduled on solo jobs for at least the first two months of employment, so that you can continue on-the-job learning with a teammate.

WHAT WE PROVIDE OUR ORGANIZERS

  • Uniform shirts (one for every working day, so you don’t have to wash them in the shower after your shift)

  • PPE (masks, disposable nitrile gloves, reusable nitrile gloves)

  • Label maker

  • Sharpies

  • Post-It notes

  • Garbage bags and construction bags

  • Hand tools

  • Box cutter

WHAT YOU’LL
NEED TO BRING

  • Spacious sedan or regular SUV/ truck for hauling supplies and donations

  • Lunch, snacks, and plenty of water

  • Comfortable supportive shoes, and house slides/slippers if the clients would prefer us to respect a shoes-off household

  • Lip balm, allergy meds, pain reliever

  • Cross-body bag to keep supplies on hand

  • Hand sanitizer
